Sarah Lubert is a passionate art educator and practicing artist dedicated to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression in her students. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, and currently earning her Masters of Fine Arts in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design, she has cultivated a dynamic teaching practice that blends traditional techniques with innovative approaches, including technology integration and inclusive curriculum design.

As a tenured art teacher at Princess Anne High School, Sarah has developed engaging curricula, curated student exhibitions, and mentored young artists for national and regional competitions. She is committed to professional development, leading workshops on LGBTQ+ inclusivity in the arts and virtual art education. Her leadership roles, including serving as the Fine Arts Department Chair and as a member of the VBCPS Visual Arts Curriculum Writing Committee, demonstrate her dedication to advocating for student success and advancing arts education.

Beyond the classroom, Sarah explores her work as a way to examine identity, representation, and personal history. Her work frequently engages with themes of Jewish heritage and Lesbian identity, weaving together cultural symbolism, personal narratives, and expressive figurative forms. Through painting, drawing, and printmaking, she seeks to create imagery that is both deeply personal and universally resonant, inviting conversations about belonging, visibility, and self-discovery. Her artwork has been exhibited in regional galleries, including the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art and the Charles H. Taylor Visual Arts Center.
